Next step for Croatia's EU accession

Tomorrow morning at 9.30 here in Brussels I will attend together with Commissioner Füle the ceremony where we will sign the Accession Treaty of Croatia. It is a good sign for Croatia and for the European Union as a whole that the country will become the 28th member of the EU. I hope the citizens of Croatia will also support this with a strong Yes during the referendum early next year. I will push for Serbia to be given candidate status and I also hope that we can send out positive signs to Montenegro.
